County Turf is a proud sponsor of the 2010 Golf Environment Awards.
Are you a greenkeeper or course manager working at a golf club in the UK? Have you completed an environmental or ecological project or initiative you’re proud of? If so, now is the time to enter the 2010 Golf Environment Awards for the opportunity to win a trip of a lifetime to the USA.
Managed by the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) they recognise and reward golf clubs and individuals managing effective and sustainable projects that achieve real improvements to their local environment.
Entry to the awards is free, simple and open to all golf courses across the UK no matter how big or small. There are several different award categories offering a total of eleven prizes with two top winners/clubs winning a trip of a lifetime to the US. The categories are:
- Environmental Improvement Project Award (4 awards)
- Nature Conservation Management
- Turfgrass Management
- Waste Management
- Water Management
- Environmental Achievement Award (6 awards)
- Northern Ireland
- Scotland
- Wales
- North England
- South England
- Overall winner of best golf club in UK
- Conservation Greenkeeper Award
